There are a lot of rumours flying about relating to Most Haunted and Antix Productions being in trouble, a Most Haunted move to channel 5 etc.

 In response to this and the emails I am receiving I must say at the moment I have seen NO facts, we are all aware from Yvettes statement there are plans for something new, and many articles are flying about including one in the DAILY STAR on the 7th July 2010 covering possible negotiations with Channel 5.

The UnExplained Channel & Monster Pictures Limited

 I can confirm that MONSTER PICTURES LIMITED, the company registered to the same offices as Antix and used to form the PARANORMAL CHANNEL (Which later changed it’s name to THE UNEXPLAINED CHANNEL.)  had its Registered Office transferred over to Lines Henry Limited, an insolvency practice, on the 8th July 2010. Please note this is a SEPERATE company to Antix Productions Limited and the other companies also registered to the same address.

This follows the Unexplained Channel’s EPG slot on Sky Digital being purchased by Information TV Limited, who on 21 April 2010 moved Showcase to channel 201 and launched Showcase 2 on channel 216.

Most Haunted Live Halloween 2010

Yvette Fielding has confirmed that Most Haunted Live! will return in the UK for their annual Halloween Investigation in October 2010. Although a statement made by Fielding on 25th June 2010, via her website ANTIX Productions, revealed that she has stepped down as presenter on the show and has decided that it is time for her to leave which therefore makes it unclear as to whether she will make her final appearance on the Halloween Live or whether she really has left for good.

Karl has said that the next Most Haunted Live will be scariest of scares. The team will spend 8 nights returning to their scariest locations, with their central studio based in centre of country of Derby.  Said to be last ever episode of Most Haunted.

Yvette Fielding Leaving Most Haunted

On the 25th June 2010 Yvette Fielding announced on the Antix Productions website that she was leaving Living TV’s Most Haunted, to move on to other projects.

Paul & Mandy of  Tribute To Most Haunted wish her all the best in her future endeavours, it’s been a fun 10 years and we look forward to seeing her at Morecambe Winter Gardens on 24th July 2010. At the time of writing tickets are still available for this exclusive event at Morecambe.

THE VENUE: Morecambe’s infamous Winter Gardens Theatre

HISTORY OF THE WINTER GARDENS THEATRE
The land that the Morecambe Winter Gardens theatre we see today was once occupied by salt water swimming baths, which were surrounded by the gardens from which the name is derived. The original facilities included 3 plunge baths, 24 private baths and 2 medicated baths and soon afterwards an entertainment complex was added. In 1896 it was announced that a new theatre was to be built.
Morcambe Winter Gardens was originally built in1897 as an extension to the first Winter Gardens building (now demolished) and was first named The Oriental Ballroom & The Victoria Pavillion theatre. It is a Grade II listed building.
The 1940’s saw what many believe to be the Golden Years of the theatre’s history, with many top acts such as Laurel and Hardy, George Formby and Billy Cotton.
The last performance to be staged by this magnificent theatre took place at the end of the 1970’s after which Morcambe Winter Gardens closed its doors for the final time.
In 2006 the building was purchased by The Friends Of Winter Gardens charity and formed The Winter Gardens Preservation Trust Ltd, who now owns the theatre and currenty oversees the restoration.
Among the present patrons to the Winter Gardens are actor Paul Nicholas and comedian Ken Dodd.

The ‘Most Haunted’ team investigated the building over two nights for series 10.

GOOD SIDE – BAD SIDE
Rumour has it that the theatre has two sides to it which governs the ghostly activity; a good side and a bad side.
Will we find evidence for this on our investigation?

GHOSTS & HAUNTINGS
Morecambe Winter Gardens has seen many a face come and go throughout its history, and it appears that some of those associated with the building have not quite gone altogether. There are numerous reports of strange incidents happening at what is reputedly one of the most haunted buildings within Lancashire.

PHANTOM FOOTSTEPS
The sounds of phantom footsteps have been heard by staff and workers alike at the building, coming from areas where there is nobody present.

UNEXPLAINED NOISES
Unexplained bangs and knocks have been heard throughout the building, and upon inspection no cause could ever be found.

PHYSICAL CONTACT
There have been reports that workers, staff and visitors to the building have been touched and pushed by unseen spectral hands.

POLTERGEIST ACTIVITY
Poltergeist activity would appear to be rife at the Morecambe Winter Gardens theatre – is this perhaps the bad side of the ghosts, or merely a playful spirit?

THE HAUNTED STAIRCASE
The spirit of a woman has been picked up on the main staircase. It is thought that during an argument with her partner she either fell or was pushed down the stairs where she died.

THE SINGING GHOST
During a visit to the Winter Gardens by the ‘Most Haunted’ team the sound of a woman singing was heard, as well as that of what could only be described as a growling dog.

PREVIOUS DHN VISITS
During our previous visit to the Winter Gardens Theatre, several people witnessed unexplained figures, as well as light anomalies. Noises were also heard.

Brinkburn Priory Rothbury, Northumberland

Brinkburn Priory is set on the banks of the River Coquet a few miles east of Rothbury. It was built within a wooded loop of the river and is reached by a steady descent from the car park just off the Rothbury road. This Augustian Priory was founded in the 1130’s by a community of cannons and the earliest surviving buildings date from the late 12th century. It was never very wealthy and one of the first monasteries to be closed in the Dissolution of 1536. After the dissolution the priory church was used as a parish church and part of monastic buildings were converted to a manor house. Over the centuries to condition of the buildings deteriorated but what remained was faithfully restored in the 19th century and the site is now under the management of English Heritage who will maintain this wonderful piece of medieval architecture.

Acorah rules out ‘Most Haunted’ return

Derek Acorah has ruled out returning to paranormal documentary series Most Haunted, describing it as “weak in content”.

The celebrity medium, who worked on the first six series of the Living show, said that he was unhappy with criticism he had received from members of the programme’s team.

Acorah, 60, last appeared on Most Haunted in 2005, but there had been rumours online that he may return to the format.

“I’m never going back to Most Haunted,” he told the Real Radio North East Breakfast Show. “I’m doing other things now and I’m going forward in a different way.

“I wouldn’t go back on it because there were certain issues and I’ve been away from it for so long. Anyway, there were certain issues that were not to my taste and certain negative allegations said against me by certain people within the programme that were grossly unfair and I don’t think I should give them the opportunity of me going back.”

He also argued that the programme “hasn’t got the qualities it had” and that it “hasn’t got the depth”, following his departure five years ago.

Ghost Hunting With Katie Price & Alex Reid

Katie Price and Alex Reid have agreed to appear on ITV2’s Ghosthunting with… series, a report says.

According to the News of the World, the couple will appear alongside host Yvette Fielding in a haunted house on the look out for paranormal activity.

“Katie’s very open to the idea of ghosts and haunting at the moment,” a source revealed.

Price, who has previously consulted star psychic Sally Morgan over ghost sightings in her own home, will be aided by Kitchen Burnout star Russell Grant.
