Karl Beattie posted the following Official Press Release on his Facebook Page on 5th June
PRESS RELEASE FROM KARL AND YVETTE:
Hello lovely people. We both wanted to say a huge thanks for your overwhelming response to the news that Most Haunted is coming back to our television screens to Really. We owe you all a tremendous debt of gratitude for your support and loyalty over the years and more so for the ever-growing support and popularity we have received the past year.
The whole team have always been astounded at your never wavering faith and espousal for this wonderful show.
It is without doubt that the wonderful team behind this are the true hero’s and heroins. No programme works without the people behind it, in front of and behind the camera, they are among the most professional, hard working people I have had the pleasure of working with in the past 25 years.
We have been looking at the best place for the show that gave everyone an opportunity to see it and promised that we will only have it shown on Freeview, we kept that promise as a thank you to you all.
This also stands as a testament to those who said ‘with certainty’ and ‘with all knowing sincerity’ that the show wouldn’t return to television, that idle gossip is only perpetuated by the idle and has no foundation in truth, as we have very much indeed returned.
However, we are back, it is scary, funny, entertaining but above all it is for you…with the deepest, heartfelt thanks, Yvette and Karl.
